Hey, I'm Damon Millar. I'm an accountant, fractional CFO, and business advisor. I help business owners grow profits, reduce tax, and build lasting wealth, and I help accounting firms run a more proactive, higher-value practice.

I built this toolkit because most finance teams I train are using maybe 5% of what Claude can do. They paste in a vague prompt, get a vague answer, and decide the tool is overhyped. The problem was never the tool. It was the lack of a structured way to use it for actual finance work.

This is the full set: a short course to get you competent fast, 50 tips and 50 shortcuts you'll actually reuse, the playbook I use with clients, and a dedicated guide for the thing that eats everyone's weekends — the board pack. Every prompt is angled at real finance work, and there's a verification routine so you never put a number in front of a board you can't defend.

Prefer to have a second set of eyes on your numbers? Whether you run a business doing 500k+ or an accounting firm trying to move from compliance to advisory, a 30-minute call will tell you where the real leverage is. Book a call → https://calendly.com/damon-millar-switchaccountants/30min

Part 1 — The Free Claude Course for Finance

Six lessons. Each one has an objective, what to do, and a short exercise. Do them in order the first time. Total time: about an afternoon.

Lesson 1 — How Claude actually works (and where it breaks)

Objective: understand what to trust Claude with and what to check, so you never get burned.

Claude is excellent at structure, drafting, commentary, and analysing data you give it. It is fallible at arithmetic, it does not know your current tax rates, and it can only reason about facts you've put in front of it. It will also produce confident, wrong answers if you feed it wrong assumptions.
