Hey, I'm Damon Millar. I'm an accountant, fractional CFO, and business advisor. I help business owners grow profits, reduce tax, and build lasting wealth, and I help accounting firms run a more proactive, higher-value practice.
I built this prompt library after using AI inside my own firm every single day. The problem is the same everywhere: good people spending most of their week on drafting, first-pass prep, and formatting, with no time left for the advisory conversations that actually retain clients and grow revenue.
This is the full library. 150 prompts across 10 categories, plus the setup that makes them work: which ChatGPT plan to use, how to handle client data safely, and how to put the new ChatGPT Work agent to use inside a practice.

A 30-minute conversation will help identify where AI could create the most useful capacity.

Most firms use ChatGPT like Google. One-line question in, generic answer out, back to doing everything manually. The prompts in this library fix half of that problem. The setup below fixes the other half.
⚠️ This comes first. On personal Free and Plus accounts, your conversations can be used to train OpenAI's models unless you switch it off (Settings → Data Controls → turn off "Improve the model for everyone"). ChatGPT Business and Enterprise don't train on your data by default and give you admin controls, which is why they're the right home for a firm.
Two rules regardless of plan:
Projects are folders with memory. Create one per recurring workflow (Month-End Close, Tax Season, Proposals) and load each with standing context: your firm's tone of voice, your service list, your templates. Every prompt you run inside that Project inherits the context, so you stop re-explaining who you are in every chat.
If your team runs the same task weekly, turn the prompt into a Custom GPT with your instructions and reference documents baked in. A "Management Report Commentary" GPT that already knows your report format means a junior gets consistent output without knowing how to prompt.
